Good morning everyone! Things are definitely getting just a little busier these days.  We will be doing a Winnetka neighborhood watch Zoom meeting this Saturday at 9:30am.  If you are interested and have not emailed me, please email me so that I can add you to my list.  I will be emailing the link to those interested on Friday. Here are the current crime stats for the past week: ASSAULT WITH DEADLY WEAPON *Runnymede Park: Susp and victim got into a verbal altercation, suspect stabbed victim then fled location. Victim transported and treated at local hospital ROBBERY: *Vanowen/Oso: Suspects approached victim at bus stop armed with a knife and demanded property. Both suspects described as male Hispanics 130lbs, 5'2 and 20yrs of age (no further info) VEHICLE BREAK-INS *20000 block of Kittridge: Suspect gained access into vices vehicle with unknown tool. Suspect removed $200 worth of property *20000 block of Hemmingway: Suspect removed catalytic converter BURGLARY: *20140 Sherman Way: Unknown suspect removed property from storage unit *7100 block of Winnetka (business): Unknown suspect smashed window to victims business, entered and removed cash Great Arrest by Patrol officers for an attempt Burglary suspect from 6500 block of Hatillo. Suspect attempted to gain access to residence through front door but was unable to. Neighbors noticed suspect and called police. PD found suspect who was then arrested *20100 Sherman Way (business); Suspect smashed window to business, entered and removed cash. STOLEN VEHICLE: *5800 block of Corbin: 2017 Jeep Cherokee taken from the street *20100 block of Runnymede: 98 Chevy Astro Van taken from the street *CozyCroft/Cantlay: 96 Honda Accord taken from the street FYI:  there will be no zoom meeting in August as I will be on vacation.  The next zoom meeting after this Saturday will be sometime in September.
